Bariatric Coordinator at Des Peres Square Surgery Center
The Bariatric Clinical Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Bariatric program. These duties will include but may not be limited to:
· Care coordination of the Bariatric program.
· Oversight of ongoing BSCOE compliance and Bariatric program development.
· Assist in the development and implementation of patient and staff education.
· Coordination of regularly scheduled multidisciplinary team meetings
· Coordination of support group meetings for patients who have undergone Bariatric surgery at this facility.
· Develop and maintain the clinical pathways, protocols and order sets for Bariatric procedures.
· Act as a liaison between the hospital, Bariatric surgeons and the Bariatric surgeon’s practice.
Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.
Qualifications:
· RN with bariatric experience preferred
· Current RN license
· Minimum of two years of experience in an acute hospital setting
· BLS /ACLS
· Ability to work independently with strong decision making skills.
· Good organization skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
· Excellent communication skills with patients, staff and physicians.
· Ability to adapt to change quickly,
· Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and develop appropriate plans of action to move the facility ahead in its goals
