Sterile Processing Tech (SPD Tech)
The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Minimum of 2-3years of Sterile Processing experience
· Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
· Experience with all types of sterilizers
· Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures (Total Joint)
· Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
· Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
