Registered Nurse | OR Charge Nurse/Board Runner

The Surgical Services Board Runner is responsible for overseeing and facilitating staff by policies, procedures, industry standards of practice, JCAHO standards, and the direction of the Surgical Services management team.  This individual assists in coordinating scrub and circulator roles and provides support to staff as needed.  Overseeing the flow of the daily surgery schedule, problem-solving during the daily operation of the department, and managing projects as assigned by the management team of the department.

• Graduate of accredited school or professional nursing.
• A baccalaureate degree is preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience in surgery
• Two (2) years of experience as a service coordinator or charge position preferred.
• Current Texas RN License
• Certified in CPR
• Independent decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
