The TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital and Comprehensive Breast Center Physician Liaison will sell to community physicians to maximize potential case volume to our facilities. This position will frequently visit physicians, other healthcare professionals and their key office staff (and schedulers) to drive incremental case volumes to our facilities.


Breast Center Liaison

We are seeking a proactive and personable Physician Liaison - Breast Center to serve as a central point of coordination and support for patients navigating breast health services. This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth scheduling, follow-up care, and communication between patients, physicians, and the clinical team. The Liaison will help enhance the patient experience, drive engagement, and support the center’s volume growth initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Covers TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital and the four Comprehensive Breast Centers.  
  • Approximately 70% of the time will be related to the Comprehensive Breast Centers and the other 30% will be related to TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital
  • Responsible for driving referrals to TOPS sites of patient care
  • Establishes and maintains long-term physician and office staff relationships
  • Regularly visits physician offices to meet with physician and his/her staff in order to assess any needs that will result in increase case volume
  • Communicates physician or office staff needs, as identified, to the appropriate service line manager or TOPS CEO.
  • Understand and influence which cases can be moved to TOPS facilities from hospital or competing ASC.
  • Collaborate with CEO regarding opportunities to shift referral patterns from other facilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Marketing, Business Administration or Communications/Public Relations preferred
  • 5-7 years of professional work experience preferred
  • 2-3+ year of sales experience preferred

  • Able to interpret and disseminate information, including key information about changes in the marketplace and physician patterns
  • Create and review reports for respective facilities on a regular basis.
  • Utilize weekly reports to assist in viewing recent utilization, establish trends, and assess what additional opportunity exists.
  • Establish a baseline of cases per facility and per physician.
  • Measure growth of cases on a quarterly basis, either on quarter over quarter growth, or year over year growth.

Required Experience

  • 1–2 years in a medical office or healthcare setting required
  • Experience working in women’s health, breast centers, or imaging facilities preferred
  • Background in patient navigation, scheduling, or care coordination is a plus
