TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Night Shift (PRN)
Shift: Night Shift (PRN) – flexible overnight coverage, with a focus on ensuring rest, safety, and overnight patient needs are met in a quiet and respectful environment. The responsibilities, qualifications, skills, and experience remain the same—with an added emphasis on overnight monitoring and comfort care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, mobility, and feeding
- Record and report vital signs, intake/output, and other key data to nursing staff
- Ensure patient comfort and address non-clinical needs promptly
- Support nursing staff with turning, repositioning, and transporting patients
- Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient care areas
- Adhere to infection control, safety procedures, and facility policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active CNA certification in the state of Texas
- BLS certification (required or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Prior hospital or post-surgical care experience preferred

Required Experience
- 6 months to 1 year of CNA experience preferred
- Experience in an acute care or surgical hospital setting is a plus
- Familiarity with patient mobility assistance, hygiene care, and vital signs monitoring
