Clinical Director at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Brazoria
The Clinical Director is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all clinical operations within the center. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and supporting clinical staff in their professional development. The Clinical Director will collaborate closely with physicians, administrative leaders, and staff to promote operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for all clinical departments and functions within the center
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting agency regulations and standards
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and clinical workflows to support optimal patient outcomes and staff efficiency
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that supports staff development and retention
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nurses and clinical support staff
- Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement initiatives, and risk management processes
- Collaborate with physicians and administrators to develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures
- Monitor supply usage, budget adherence, and resource utilization for clinical operations

Required Skills
- Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal communication skills
- In-depth understanding of clinical operations and nursing best practices
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (CMS, OSHA, AAAHC, Joint Commission, etc.)
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical documentation systems
- Ability to lead through change, resolve conflicts, and manage competing priorities
- Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and decision-making abilities
Required Experience
- Current RN license in the state of Texas (required)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (required); BSN preferred
- BLS and ACLS certification (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in perioperative services (OR/PACU/Pre-Op)
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a surgical or clinical setting
- Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting preferred
