SurgCenter of Plano was established by clinical personnel to offer safe, high-quality surgical care.  Specialties include ENT, Ortho/ Total Joints, Sports medicine, podiatry, and pain management.  The center is accredited by the Joint Commission, licensed by the state of Texas, and Medicare.

As a PreOp RN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of patients through the perioperative process, from preoperative assessment to post-anesthesia care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preoperative assessments, including reviewing medical histories and conducting physical assessments.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and conditions throughout the perioperative period.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).

Qualifications:

  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Minimum of two years of PreOp experience.
  • Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
