Position Overview
We’re looking for a PRN Surgical Scrub Tech to support our OR team with potential part-time availability based on scheduling needs. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking flexibility while contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team
  • Ensure all instruments and supplies are sterile and properly set up
  • Assist with counts of sponges, needles, and instruments with circulating nurse
  • Gown and glove surgeons and assistants
  • Assist with instrument cleaning and processing
  • Maintain accurate physician preference cards and label pathology specimens correctly
  • Follow infection control practices and safety procedures
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members, patients, and physicians

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
  • Familiarity with surgical instruments and procedures across multiple specialties
  • Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and adapt quickly
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork in a clinical setting

Required Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Graduate of an accredited Scrub Tech program
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech in an OR setting
  • Experience in multi-specialty cases preferred
