Position Overview
We’re looking for a PRN Surgical Scrub Tech to support our OR team with potential part-time availability based on scheduling needs. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking flexibility while contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team
- Ensure all instruments and supplies are sterile and properly set up
- Assist with counts of sponges, needles, and instruments with circulating nurse
- Gown and glove surgeons and assistants
- Assist with instrument cleaning and processing
- Maintain accurate physician preference cards and label pathology specimens correctly
- Follow infection control practices and safety procedures
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members, patients, and physicians

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
- Familiarity with surgical instruments and procedures across multiple specialties
- Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and adapt quickly
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Effective communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
Required Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Scrub Tech program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech in an OR setting
- Experience in multi-specialty cases preferred
