Job Summary: Responsibility for maintaining the supply inventory in a cost saving and timely manner.  Determines and maintains appropriate inventory levels of materials required to meet the requirements of the surgical schedule. Works collaboratively with the Supply Chain Manager, Director of Surgical Services, Managers and Coordinators to anticipate the needs for scheduled cases. Works with physicians, staff and administration to improve efficiency and cost initiatives within the Surgical Services Department.

Required Skills

Qualifications: 

 

High school graduate or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience or 2 years of lead experience in a hospital supply chain setting required or Surgical Tech Experience
Proficient in MS Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal), customer service and problem solving skills
Requires a high level of interpersonal skills and judgment necessary to gather and exchange information with variety of internal and external customers in order to respond to patients, visitors, and staff in a professional manner while possessing a positive attitude, high energy level, and the ability to respond and act quickly. 
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Experience in materials management, surgical hospital or surgical scrub tech preferred
