About the Role
Memorial Hermann Surgery Center – Southwest is looking to add a full-time Registered Nurse to our thriving Endoscopy team. This RN will rotate between GI procedures, Pre-Op, and PACU care. We’re seeking someone with strong clinical judgment, a collaborative mindset, and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care across GI/endoscopy, Pre-Op, and PACU areas
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including assessments, IV starts, and patient education
  • Monitor patients during recovery and respond to post-procedure needs
  • Administer medications and moderate sedation in accordance with physician orders
  • Document care and observations accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Assist physicians during procedures as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment
  • Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team
  • Support and uphold infection control and patient safety protocols

Required Skills

  • Strong assessment and triage skills in Pre-Op and PACU settings
  • Proficient in IV starts, medication administration, and sedation monitoring
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on patient comfort and safety
  • Team-first attitude with flexibility to float between units
  • Calm and focused under pressure in a procedural setting

Required Experience

  • Active RN license in the State of Texas (required)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in GI, Pre-Op, or PACU (required)
  • ASC or outpatient surgery center experience preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR, PACS, and procedure charting systems
