Welcome to El Paso Day Surgery

We have 5 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, OB/GYN, Gynecology & Infertility, Ophthalmology, Ortho, Pain, Plastic, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Business Office Rep at El Paso Day Surgery

• Greet Patients, manage phones calls & voicemails and attended to patient needs, while documenting all patient interactions accurately and factually into software.
• Prioritizes and organizes work accordingly.
• Assist in scheduling procedures, insurance benefit & prior authorization verification and other scheduling needs. Ability to use payer web tools and contact them.
• Prepare and access estimate of procedure and call/advise of patient liability and prepayment requirements and advise on supplemental payment options.
• Check-in patients. Confirm, enter, and/or update all required demographic data on patient and/or guarantor in software. Obtaining copies of insurance card & ID, ensuring all patient signatures are listed on all required registration documents then scanned into patient accounting system.
• Collect patient payments and provide receipt. Accurately track all payments utilizing money logs and noting patient account of transaction.
• Monitor, collect payment, and provide medical records for third party requesters.
• Printing, building, & scanning of all patient charts.
• Oversee and resolve all missing documents for billing.
• Maintains clean & orderly space at front desk

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of medical experience in insurance verification, billing or collection
• Must have the ability to effectively present information
• Basic math skills
• Computer competency
