Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse
We are seeking a full-time RN to join our dynamic team in the Pre-Op and PACU areas. This role is essential in preparing patients for surgery and ensuring a safe recovery post-procedure. The ideal candidate is experienced, adaptable, and comfortable working in both the pre-operative and post-anesthesia phases of care.

Responsibilities Include

  • Pre-op assessments and patient education
  • Initiating IVs and preparing patients for anesthesia
  • Providing nursing care during the immediate postoperative period
  • Monitoring vital signs, managing pain and nausea, and ensuring patient safety
  • Coordinating discharge instructions and follow-up care
  • Communicating effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and team members

Required Skills

  • Excellent clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
  • Competence in IV insertion and medication administration
  • Strong interpersonal communication with patients and team members
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Required Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • Active Texas RN license
  • BLS and ACLS required; PALS if applicable to patient population
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Pre-Op and/or PACU preferred
  • Experience in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) setting is a plus
