Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse
We are seeking a full-time RN to join our dynamic team in the Pre-Op and PACU areas. This role is essential in preparing patients for surgery and ensuring a safe recovery post-procedure. The ideal candidate is experienced, adaptable, and comfortable working in both the pre-operative and post-anesthesia phases of care.
Responsibilities Include
- Pre-op assessments and patient education
- Initiating IVs and preparing patients for anesthesia
- Providing nursing care during the immediate postoperative period
- Monitoring vital signs, managing pain and nausea, and ensuring patient safety
- Coordinating discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Communicating effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and team members

Required Skills
- Excellent clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Competence in IV insertion and medication administration
- Strong interpersonal communication with patients and team members
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Required Experience
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Active Texas RN license
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS if applicable to patient population
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Pre-Op and/or PACU preferred
- Experience in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) setting is a plus
