Conroe Surgery Center is a busy ambulatory surgical center (ASC) providing high-quality outpatient care in a supportive and professional environment. We specialize in a wide range of surgical services and pride ourselves on efficient, patient-centered care. We are seeking a per-diem X-Ray Technologist to support our team in diagnostic imaging and intraoperative imaging procedures.

Job Summary
The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist in the evaluation of patients in a surgical setting. This role includes both standard imaging responsibilities and intraoperative support in the OR. The ideal candidate will be flexible, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiologic procedures using portable and fixed imaging equipment
  • Provide intraoperative imaging support as needed in surgical cases
  • Ensure imaging equipment is functioning properly and is well-maintained
  • Adhere to all infection control, radiation safety, and patient privacy protocols
  • Accurately position patients and produce clear diagnostic images
  • Document imaging procedures in accordance with center protocols
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other team members to ensure timely and safe imaging services

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of radiologic techniques and positioning
  • Skilled in portable imaging and intraoperative radiography
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a surgical team
  • Clear communication and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to radiation exposure
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic surgical schedule
  • Attention to detail and patient-centered care mindset

Required Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT certification required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)
  • Minimum of 1 year of radiologic experience required
  • Previous experience supporting OR procedures preferred
  • Experience in an outpatient or ambulatory surgery center setting is a plus
