TOPS Specialty Surgical Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated per-diem Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment where quality outcomes and personalized care are our top priorities.

OPS Surgical Specialty Hospital is a physician-owned facility in North Houston, offering both inpatient and outpatient surgical services. With over 30 years of service, it provides advanced surgical care across various specialties, including orthopedic, cardiovascular, and general surgeries. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and is known for its commitment to personalized, patient-centered care in a state-of-the-art environment. TOPS also operates four freestanding breast centers equipped with the latest 3D mammography technology.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures
  • Prepare and operate specialized imaging and monitoring equipment
  • Maintain a sterile environment and follow all safety and procedural protocols
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to emergencies during procedures
  • Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, equipment usage, and patient care
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to ensure efficient patient flow and quality outcomes

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with imaging and monitoring equipment used in the cath lab
  • Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and radiation safety practices
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations
  • Team-focused mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Required Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist program
  • ARRT or RCIS certification required
  • BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a cath lab or similar procedural setting preferred
