Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Insurance Verifier & Surgery Scheduler to join our team. This dual-role position will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage and scheduling surgeries to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and the flexibility to open our center at 5:30 AM most days.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Insurance Verification:

Verify patient insurance coverage for surgical procedures, ensuring accurate benefits information.

Coordinate with insurance providers to confirm coverage, pre-authorizations, and eligibility.

Communicate with patients regarding insurance benefits and financial responsibilities.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance records in the system.

Resolve any discrepancies in insurance coverage and ensure proper documentation is on file.
Surgery Scheduling:

Coordinate with physicians, patients, and medical staff to schedule surgeries in accordance with availability and patient needs.

Ensure that all necessary pre-operative documentation (e.g., medical records, lab work) is in place before scheduling surgeries.

Work closely with the clinical team to ensure surgery dates align with physician schedules and patient preferences.

Provide patients with detailed information regarding surgery preparation, insurance coverage, and post-operative instructions.

Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure all necessary resources and equipment are available for scheduled procedures.
Center Opening & Administrative Support:

Open the center promptly at 5:30 AM, ensuring all administrative systems are set up and ready for the day.

Greet and assist patients with any initial paperwork or questions.

Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Required Skills
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).

Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical insurance verification and/or surgery scheduling.

Knowledge of medical insurance terminology, coverage types, and pre-authorization procedures.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software.

Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism.

Must be available to open the center at 5:30 AM and adjust to varying schedules as needed.
