Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated RN OR to join our team at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodforest. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless surgical and patient care operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality care, has a strong attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care and service during surgery cases
  • Responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case
  • Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology. 

 

Skills Required

  1. Interdependent Partnering
    • Good communication and human relations skills
  2. Mastering Complexity
    • Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
    • Ability to master new skills.
  3. Technical/Functional
    • Thorough knowledge of all phases of perioperative process including knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia implications.
    • Current nursing assessment and patient care skills.
    • Telemetry experience necessary 

 

Experience Required

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Currently licensed in the state.
  • CPR certified. ACLS certification is required within 6 months of employment if not currently certified.
  • One year experience required intra-operative setting
  • Critical Care or PACU experience preferred.
