Summary
Performs patient care activities. Scrubs and assists physician during procedures. Assists with X-Ray equipment, cleans and stores supplies, instruments, and equipment. Documents and maintains patient intraprocedure records, procedure logs and required paperwork.
Position Duties

· To perform the tasks of the "Scrub "role
· Scrubs, gowns, and gloves physicians following aseptic techniques.
· Assists in the set up of Cath Lab with all necessary equipment and supplies.
· Assist with the preparation, transportation, and monitoring of the patients.
· Arranges instruments according to routine for given procedures.
· Handles instruments according to routine for given procedures.
· Maintains sterile field throughout the procedures.
· Performs room clean up following procedures, as well as general housekeeping duties.
· Aids in emergency situations as directed.
· To perform the tasks of the "Rad Tech " role.
· Input patients' demographics and procedural settings into radiological/imaging equipment
· Operates the Imaging equipment and exam table.
· Transfers the patients' images to the Dicom PACs system.
· To perform the tasks of the "Hemodynamic Monitoring "role.
· Monitoring patients' vitals like blood pressure, heart rate, EKG for any concerning changes, pulse, Sp02, Aortic pressure and pressure measurements from various chambers of the right and left heart using the hemodynamic system.
· Document the procedure details as required in patients' medical record. Input patients' demographics into radiological/imaging equipment.
· Responds in a timely manner to meet the needs of the patient and the physician.
· Documents patient care records and other forms according to Facility policies.
· 5.2 Communicates information about the patient's status to others responsible for patient care.
· Accurately comprehends and interprets verbal orders and directions.
· Recognizes patient's need for support and provides for privacy and confidentiality.
· Assists in preparing Cath lab and holding areas for patient use before each case and at the end of each day
Required Skills
Requirements
· Training/ experience in a Cath lab required.
· Demonstrated understanding of sterilization principles and sterile technique required.
· CPR/ACLS certification required.
· Radiology certification preferred, RCIS certification preferred.
· Understanding of housekeeping requirements, including sterile environments, preferred.
