Located in the heart of Houston, Texas, Memorial Hermann Surgery Center – Kirby Glen is a trusted outpatient surgical facility known for delivering exceptional patient care across multiple specialties. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Nurse to join our team. This full-time role is key to supporting our quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance, and promoting clinical excellence throughout the facility.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor and evaluate patient care processes and outcomes to identify improvement opportunities
- Assist in developing, implementing, and tracking quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) programs
- Maintain compliance with AAAHC, CMS, OSHA, and other regulatory standards
- Collect and analyze data related to infection control, incident reporting, and patient satisfaction
- Educate staff on best practices, policy updates, and process improvements
- Serve as a liaison during inspections and surveys
- Lead root cause analyses and support corrective action plans
- Partner with clinical leaders to ensure continuous quality improvement initiatives are aligned with patient care goals

Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance, risk management, and infection control standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative spirit with the ability to guide and influence staff
- Organized, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing initiatives
- Comfortable with data collection, analysis, and reporting
Required Experience
- Current Texas RN license required
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical or acute care setting
- Prior experience in quality improvement, compliance, or infection control strongly preferred
- Familiarity with AAAHC and CMS standards is a plus
