Located in the growing community of Richmond, Texas, Memorial Hermann Surgery Center – Richmond is a modern outpatient facility providing high-quality surgical care across a range of specialties. We are currently seeking a flexible and dedicated Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our per-diem clinical team. In this dual-role position, you’ll be responsible for providing safe, attentive care to patients both before and after their surgical procedures.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform thorough pre-op assessments and educate patients on the surgical process
- Start IVs, administer pre-op medications, and ensure informed consent
- Monitor and manage patients post-procedure, ensuring safe emergence from anesthesia
- Provide pain management, discharge teaching, and emotional support
- Maintain accurate documentation of all phases of care
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other nursing staff

Required Skills
- Skilled in both pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery care
- Effective communicator with patients and clinical team
- Proficient in IV starts and medication administration
- Calm under pressure and adaptable in a fast-paced ASC environment
- Detail-focused with strong organizational habits
Required Experience
- Current RN license in the state of Texas
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (or willing to obtain)
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in Pre-Op, PACU, or acute care settings
- ASC experience preferred but not required
