Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Xray Tech to join our team at Conroe Surgery Center. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless surgical and patient care operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality care, has a strong attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Properly position patients to obtain high-quality images while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize C-arm fluoroscopy equipment in the operating room, ensuring accurate imaging during surgical procedures.
  • Adhere to radiation protection guidelines, including shielding and monitoring exposure levels.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of imaging studies.
  • Assist with equipment quality control and routine maintenance.

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of radiographic imaging techniques and radiation safety practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing imaging needs during surgical procedures.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting radiologic equipment, including C-arm fluoroscopy.

Experience Required

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or X-Ray Technician program required.
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred.
  • State licensure as an X-Ray Technician (if applicable) required.
  • BLS certification required (or willingness to obtain).
  • Previous experience in a hospital, surgical center, or outpatient setting preferred.
