Shrewsbury Surgery Center has an immediate need for a per diem Ultrasound Tech! Job Summary: The Ultrasound Tech operates ultrasonic diagnostic equipment to examine various parts of the body in order to study a wide variety of conditions. Maintains patient records, keeps track of inventory, orders supplies, and maintains proper working order of equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging procedures, specializing in vascular cases.
- Ensure accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes and communicate findings to physicians.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
- Follow all safety protocols, infection control measures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide patient education and support to ensure comfort during procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with facility protocols.
Required Skills
- Active RDMS or AART and State Registry required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in ultrasound imaging.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
- Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital imaging setting is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in imaging.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in medical imaging.
