Job Summary
Responsible to plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care given to patients in the Endoscopy nursing role.
Provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility.
Communicates appropriate information to other team members. Helps maintain equipment, supplies, and general cleanliness of the unit.
May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager, which may include but are not limited to providing patient care in other peri-operative departments (Pre-Op, PACU), serving on committees, participating in quality improvement projects.

Required Skills
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU, ED, Critical Care, Med Surg/Tele.
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
- Previous Experience with GI preferred.
- Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
- Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
