Registered Nurse PreOp/PACU at Bristol Ambulatory Surgery Center:

·       The Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

·       May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.

·       Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

 

Qualifications

Education:

·       Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Licensure/Certification:                                                     

·       Registered Nurse with unrestricted TN license

·       BLS Required

·       Current ACLS certification

Required Experience:

·       Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOp or PACU

·       Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient

·       Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation

·       Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed

·       Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
