SurgCenter Pima Crossing is seeking a FT Rad Tech to join the team!
Job Description:
- Imaging Procedures:
- Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, fluoroscopy, and other imaging modalities as needed, in accordance with the orders from the physician.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain the clearest and most accurate diagnostic images.
- Adjust and maintain imaging equipment to ensure high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Follow established protocols and safety measures to ensure proper patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
- Patient Care & Preparation:
- Greet and prepare patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns.
- Explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Monitor patients during the procedure to ensure safety, comfort, and well-being.
- Prepare and manage contrast agents and other necessary imaging supplies as needed.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other clinical staff to coordinate and support surgical procedures.
- Assist in the positioning and imaging of patients as required for diagnostic and pre-operative assessments.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans.
- Maintenance & Inventory Management:
- Ensure the imaging area is clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Assist with the inventory management of imaging supplies, ordering replacements as needed to avoid shortages.
- Ensure that the imaging equipment is maintained and serviced according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
- Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Active and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
- State license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in Arizona required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., fluoroscopy) may be required or preferred depending on the specific duties of the role.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in a surgical or outpatient setting.
- Experience in imaging for orthopedics, spine surgery, or similar specialties is a plus.
