Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PACU Registered Nurse (PRN) to join our surgical team. The PACU RN is responsible for providing high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care, including monitoring vital signs, pain management, and ensuring patient stability.

Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for post-surgical patients.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions.

Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient recovery.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Respond promptly to any complications or emergencies in the PACU.

Required Skills

Required Experience
- Active RN license in the state of Texas required.
- American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required upon hire.
- Minimum of 1 year of PACU, ICU, or critical care nursing experience preferred.
- Experience in an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient setting is a plus.
