Certified Nurse Aide Post-Surgical Unit at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington:

·       Interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person. 

·       Performs clerical duties including distribution of messages. 

·       Performs clinical duties, under the direction of an RN or LVN, including assisting patients to the restroom, removing iv catheters, etc.

·       Cleans rooms if needed. 

·       Assists RNs as instructed. 

·       Any other duties as instructed by supervisor.

 

Qualifications

Education:

·       High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licensure/Certification:   

·       CNA license required

·       Current CPR required

Required Experience:

·       Good communication and people skills.

·       Excellent telephone skills.

·       Excellent Customer Service Skills.

·       Excellent Clinical Skills appropriate for a NA, PC Assistant

·       1-year acute care hospital experience, preferred.
