Controller

The Controller supports the CFO in the hospital’s financial activities. Has an understanding of regulatory and accounting standards to uphold the integrity of the facilities’ state, federal, and local data submission, and of the financial and compliance reporting.  This position will gain increasing responsibilities as the person gains experience in the role, and demonstrates competencies.

This position includes activities at two surgical hospitals within the Houston market. These facilities perform the same surgical volumes as some of the largest hospitals in Houston.  This creates a dynamic and responsive environment which requires the Controller to be very hands-on.  The Controller is much more visible in this type of environment and needs to have excellent interpersonal skills, strong excel skills, and the ability to multi-task.
