Certified Surgical Technologist at Mountain Empire Surgery Center

Exercises general supervision over business office staff directing all areas of credit and collections of the Surgery Center. Plans, organizes and directs all aspects of the Business Office including the administration of all policies on accounting, insurance, internal controls, accounts payable, auditing of patient accounts, scheduling, admissions, medical records, and claims processing.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare operating rooms with surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment for procedures.
  • Anticipate surgeon's needs during surgeries, passing instruments and supplies accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a smooth flow of procedures, adjusting as needed.
  • Continuously monitor and assess patient and team safety, proactively resolving any potential issues.

Required Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous surgical technician experience of at least two years.
  • Current CST certification
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center preferred
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
