ASC located in Scottsdale looking for a PRN Radiology Technologist with pain management experience (preferred). C-arm and Ultrasound are utilized for needle placement, experience or certification in Ultrasound is not required and will be included in training.

- Operate C-arm/Ultrasound for all procedures as directed by physician
- Provide and protect all patients and staff against unnecessary radiation with use of lead aprons, collimation and correct technique manipulation
- Ensure proper use of radiation exposure badges of all staff in procedure room
- Limit radiation exposure time for all personnel in procedure room by all means necessary
- Assist patient on procedure table in correct position and take all precautions for patient safety
- Position table/patient and align C-arm for appropriate imaging according to physician specifications
- Operate ultrasound and assist doctor for all procedures where required
- Save/DICOM all procedure images, including US, for storage in patient chart
- Complete all QA procedures as needed under direction of Radiology Department director
- Notifies department director of equipment/machine malfunction.
- Adheres to Policies and Procedures as defined by Infection Control.
- Participates in Performance Improvement Plan.
- Serves as a resource to other members of the health care team.
- Acts in accordance with the vision, mission, and business philosophy of the Center.
- Maintains patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality per policy.
- Follows the Center's professional conduct and dress code policy.
- Communicates effectively and courteously with visitors, physicians and their office staffs, patients and employees.
- Assists with other responsibilities of Center as deemed necessary by management.
Required Skills
- AART Registered and CPR Current.
- Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations.
- Must possess independent decision making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
- Associates degree or higher from an accredited Radiology Technology program, 1-2 years experience in OR setting- Pain management specialty preferred
