ED Admissions - Weekends PRN - Shift Varies

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club is seeking someone to join our ED Admissions team!!

**Schedule: Weekends as needed - Must be available for both Days and Nights**

ED Admissions at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club:

• Interface with patients and families, physicians and staff.

• Admit patients and process their paperwork.

• Update patient demographics/information in system.

• Collect monies due and document in billing system. 

• Handle funds per office procedure. 

• Assist with overflow of work from reception (Chart preparation), verification, and HIM. 

• Promissory note management and collections. 

• Special projects as assigned by management.

• Works in Emergency Department, Business Office, or wherever assigned by Directors.

Education Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• One-year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology. 
• Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
• Insurance verification experience.
• BLS required within 90 days of employment.
• Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
• Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge – Word and Excel preferred.
