USPI Surgery Center of Boerne is seeking a motivated Operating Room Nurse to join our team. Situated just north of San Antonio. We have 3 OR rooms and 2 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology, General, Orthopedics. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings; schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day.

 

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

 

Job Summary: The RN OR Circulator provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

Required Skills

Qualifications:
-Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
-Must have a current unrestricted RN license in the state.
-1+ years of experience working as Circulator required.
-Current American Heart BLS certification.
-Scrub experience preferred
-CNOR desirable
-Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
-Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
-Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse.
-Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
-Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position
