Clinical Director Lab & Pathology

The management of each department is responsible for the department's continuous, effective operation and for the continuous improvement of its activities. A clear vision for the department working in concert with the strategic goals of the hospital is necessary. • Competent to manage the administration of care of patients with consideration to age; utilizes/promotes the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological, educational and environmental needs of the patient and/or significant other when administering and/or directing care.
• Written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal competence, negotiation and confrontation skills.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in clinical science
• Minimum of 5 years of hospital laboratory experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital laboratory management
• Current California C.L.S. License.

Preferred:

• Masters in business preferred.
• Work/management experience in a CAP Accredited Laboratory
• Participation in CAP inspection process
• ASCP Certification
