Respiratory Care Practitioner, Per Diem, Nights

The RCP 2-Adult is responsible for independently utilizing respiratory care therapy to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients based on policies and procedures.  Delivers individualized quality respiratory care services through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff and other departments.   Responsible for responding to all code blue/emergency situations in the hospital and acts as Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner in the absence of the Lead.  Complies with the State of California standards for Respiratory Care.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Computer skills 

• 2-4 Years in Acute Respiratory Care 
• Current California RCP license
• RRT by the NBRC
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers sponsored by the American Heart Association.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association preferred.
• A City fire card within 6 months of employment.
