The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care including assessments, care plan, education, and evaluation for assigned patients. Performs patient duties necessary to maintain the flow of patient care as well as coordinates the delivery of care provided by other care team members and disciplines.

RN PPS Coordinator Acute Rehab/TCU:

 Required:

  • Current California RN License
  • Current CPR certification
  • Two years clinical experience in an acute care facility

 Preferred:

 BSN or currently enrolled in BSN program

Cardiology:

 Required:

  • Current California RN license
  • Evidence of continuing education
  • Prior experience in, ambulatory care nursing
  • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification
  • 12 Lead electrocardiogram and arrhythmia detection knowledge

  Preferred:

  • BSN/MSN
  • Cardiology Experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills

Critical Care:

  • Current California RN license
  • Evidence of continuing education
  • Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education
  • Current Basic Life Support Card
  • Basic EKG interpretation required within 6 months of hire date
  • ACLS certification required (for new RN graduates within 6 months)
  • Critical Care Course required within one year of hire

Emergency Preparedness Coordinator Disaster Resource Center:

  • Bachelor of Science preferred
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in California
  • Current BCLS certification

  • Current PALS certification
  • Evidence of continuing education and self-development in emergency nursing and emergency preparedness
  • One year as an MICN certified in Los Angeles County
  • One year of management experience preferred

MCIN Emergency:

  • Valid California RN License with evidence of continuing education 30 units per two years and 48 hours of Pre-hospital Care approved courses
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS certification
  • Experience in use of critical intervention skills (preferably Emergency Department)
  • Formal hospital orientation
  • Current MICN Certification
  • Basic windows and mouse skills preferred
  • Non-violent crisis intervention training annually

GI Services:

  • Current California RN license
  • ACLS card within 1 year of hire/transfer for nurses providing direct patient care.
  • Conscious Sedation module completed within 1 year of hire or transfer to department
  • Previous GI Lab experience preferred
  • 1 year med/surg experience

Maternal Child Care:

  • Current California RN license
  • Evidence of continuing education
  • Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education in Maternal-Child
    Care as appropriate for clinical specialty
  • Current CPR, PAL and NRP care as appropriate for clinical specialty

NICU:

  • Current California RN license
  • Current BLS and NRP care as appropriate for clinical specialty

Patient Flow Facilitator Nursing Administration:

  • Current California RN license (BSN/MSN preferred)
  • Evidence of continuing education
  • Current Basic Life Support Card
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Card

Certified Lactation Educator Nursing Administration:

  • Current California RN license
  • Certification as a lactation educator
  • Demonstrate teaching ability in formal and informal setting

  • 2 years experience in Maternal Child Care

  • Current NRP card

Nurse Navigator Outpatient Care Center:

 Required:

  • OCN required or needs to be obtained within one year

  • Minimum 2 years of working with oncology patients

  Preferred:

  • Chemo-certification preferred

PACU:

  • Current California RN license.
  • Evidence of continuing education.
  • Current BCLS card and ACLS certification;PALS required within 6 months of hire.
  • Demonstrates expertise in direct patient care pre/post operative nursing.
  • Critical care/ER experience and/or have demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation.
  • Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education in critical care.

Perinatal Specialty Perinatal Center:

  • Current California RN License
  • Evidence of continuing education
  • Fetal monitoring
  • Experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education in Maternal Child Health
  • Current CPR card

Same Day Surgery/Surgery:

  • For OR nurses, previous experience.

DSD Coordinator TCU:

  • Current California RN license
  • BSN degree required
