Mammography Auditor will assume responsibility for auditing all medical reports in the mammography information system written and/or dictated by department radiologists for inclusion in the patient’s medical record. Ensures compliance with MQSA State and Federal requirements with regards to documentation.  Performs clerical duties as required by PIH Health Breast Center Whittier to meet the needs of the patient and facilitating the delivery of care.

Required Skills

  • Good English skills including grammar, spelling and vocabulary
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and physicians
  • Ability to sort & file material correctly electronically or manually by alphabetic or numeric systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge in Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to maneuver through multiple screens in a timely manner
  • Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strict adherence to HIPAA laws
  • Demonstrates the ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to customer service with demonstrated ability to create a positive patient experience
  • Must possess excellent telephone etiquette, and customer service skills

Required Experience

  • High school graduate or GED
  • 1-2 year hospital/healthcare experience in clerical/office, unit clerking or medical records department

 

Preferred:

  • Prior knowledge of breast imaging terminology
  • Magview software knowledge
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
