Manager, Plant Operations and Maintenance - FT Days

This Plant Operations/Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising the work of employees engaged in a variety of plant, utilities, emergency, equipment and building operations and maintenance services.

• Ability to organize and manage technically skilled personnel needed to maintain and operate the Hospital Facilities.
• Ability to maintain the Facility within approved budgets.
• Thorough working knowledge of all equipment so as to not only maintain but to prevent unnecessary failure and down time.
• Ability to interface effectively with all other hospital personnel when solving a Maintenance or Engineering problem.

Required:

• High School, GED, or trade school graduate (preferably courses in arithmetic, mathematics, and electricity)
• Five (5) years’ experience in Maintenance and/or Engineering in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a supervisor with responsibilities in Maintenance and/or Engineering.
• Must have a valid California Driver’s License.

Preferred:

• Steam Unlimited License and CFC Certification
• Intermediate level computer skills; specifically, in Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to read blueprints and sequence of operations
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and NFPA 25
• Strong knowledge of all CMS and CIHQ codes and regulations
