PACS Imaging Tech, Full Time, Days

Reporting to the Enterprise PACS Manager, this individual is expected to provide exemplary technical support to internal and external customers by performing a wide variety of tasks utilizing digital and Picture Archive Communication Systems (PACS) technology. This position’s ultimate goal is accurate and efficient utilization of electronic image and data storage, reporting, and distribution methodologies as relates to PACS. Will assist in managing all radiology systems, with the exception of RIS. Expected to be available to assist with the training of radiology staff, referring physicians and other clinical users. This is a non-exempt position.

• Computer literate
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively train and guide staff within the department
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, nursing and ancillary departments
• Problem solving to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; and oral and written skills
• Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and exhibit sound and accurate judgment
• Uses time efficiently, reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
• Working knowledge of the radiology department and related equipment
• Understands system development and displays organizational skills
• With consideration to age, employee utilizes the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological, educational, and environment needs of all persons when administering care

Required:

• 1 year experience working in a hospital-based Radiology Department
• 1 year Experience working with hospital information systems, such as PACS and RIS
• 1 year Experience working with Microsoft Office suite of products, such as Word and Excel

Preferred:

• • Familiarity with system networking and server management
  • Familiarity with Dicom archive, including cloud-based storage management
