PIH Health is seeking a diligent and skilled Certified Coder I to join our dynamic healthcare network. This full-time, regular, at-will position offers a remote work opportunity with an hourly salary ranging from $21.60 to $32.40. As a Certified Coder I, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and quality of coding practices within our group practice. Your responsibilities will include responding to physician inquiries regarding coding, analyzing coding trends to ensure accuracy and compliance, and providing essential training to physicians and staff to uphold coding standards. You will also be tasked with completing thorough chart audits, reviewing documentation requirements, and ensuring encounter forms reflect current codes. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our billing processes, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Required Skills

Required Experience
- The Certified Coder must pass a coding certification exam (CCS or CCS-P) sponsored by the American Academy of Professional Coders or the American Health Information Management Association.
- At least two years of Outpatient Pro-Fee coding experience is required.
- Yearly renewal and CEU requirements must be maintained to ensure up-to-date coding knowledge and skills.
- Must demonstrate a history of adhering to coding standards and regulations.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a coding role for physician practices, is highly desirable.
- A track record of maintaining company confidentiality and understanding of HIPAA regulations.
