Salary: $15.00 per hour with a .$50 increase after 6 months
Shift: Monday through Friday 7:30 AM-4:00 PM. This position will be a hybrid work schedule for the first six weeks. After the initial training period, the position will be a work from home position that will require two days in the office each month which will be set by the Department Manager.

PHEAA is seeking a Credit Bureau Reporting Processing Clerk to join their team! This is an entry-level position within the customer service family. In this challenging and rewarding role, duties primarily encompass providing basic and routine responses to Automated Consumer Dispute Verifications (ACDVs). These positions organize and review data collected from incoming borrower correspondence, paper documents, and/or lender/servicer system; process disputes regarding research conducted and further documentation/action needed at a credit dispute level.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Organize and review data collected from incoming borrower correspondence, paper documents, and/or lender/servicer system; process disputes regarding research conducted and further documentation/action needed at a credit dispute level.
Compile and prepare information necessary to process adjustments to existing loans, new loans, or consolidation of loans.
Address and resolve typical and routine issues with accounts.
Revise or make changes to account information such as address changes, name changes, or social security number changes.
Briefly but thoroughly document any action taken or not taken during contact with a customer or consumer dispute.
Understand activity on loans, including accruing interest, tax deduction, or the timing of payment posting.
Report customer issues and concerns to supervisor.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Comply with the Agency’s enterprise security and privacy policies and departmental procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
Computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office.
Prior customer service experience preferred.
Equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications and/or Experience:
Experience with handling phone calls and/or processing duties for Federal Student Loans.
Associates degree and two years’ experience working in an administrative role providing exceptional customer service.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite including intermediate knowledge of Word and Microsoft Excel.
Process indirect credit disputes from consumers that contain additional information in Spanish department resource to translate any direct dispute correspondence received.
