SUMMARY:

As the Generator Technician, you will install, adjust, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment and parts in power-generating station. Dismantle and overhaul and repair generators and auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, compressors, and pipe systems. Assist in conducting acceptance and performance tests on new or existing equipment. Fabricate special tools, rigging equipment, and replacement parts for equipment. May install wiring between machinery, switchboards, and control panels. Perform electrical power control and distribution functions. Perform inspections. Interpret inspection findings and determine corrective action.

 

KNOWLEDGE:

Extensive knowledge in specialized functions. A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

 

MIN EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related experience and advanced certification in assigned area required.

Consideration will be given to relevant professional experience commensurate with assignment.

   

SECURITY CLEARANCE:   Secret
