Summary:
Responsible for activities related to system administration. Assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work. Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software. Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
Level of Supervision: Senior IAP Systems Administrator
Required Education & Experience: MA/MS with 10+ years or BA/BS with 12+ years
Knowledge & Skills:
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in managing a virtualized environment in a medium or large-scale enterprise that includes ESX, vCenter, Storage or similar storage technologies.
- Must have at least 8+ years of experience supporting Active Directory, DNS, Windows Servers, and DHCP.
- IAT II (i.e.Security+)
- ITIL Foundations version 3 or higher
- VMWare Certification version 6 or higher (VCP6)
