As the Construction Integrator, you must have experience in all aspects of building construction, to include electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural. Will monitor, inspect, document and advise on construction projects as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establish and implement monitoring procedures to verify all Host Nation-funded construction subcontractors hired to develop infrastructure and facilities at, but not limited to Al Dhafra Air Base perform activities correctly, consistently, and free of defects or failures to meet operational requirements for United States end users and mission partners.
- Coordinate with Site Manager on technical monitoring of Host Nation field activities, which include site visits, documentation, photographs, daily surveillance log and reports of immediate health and safety hazards observed to ensure wide coverage and support to the Site Manager for US Government interests.
- Advise and assist the Site Manager to facilitate informed communication between Host Nation DCA and DBB subcontractor to assure the delivery and hand-over of projects meet U.S. requirements and standards. Provide subject matter expertise for facility/infrastructure design charrettes and planning discussions. Must observe and inspect ongoing construction work, oversee construction record keeping activities, prepare and submit reports, and keep a daily log of all activities, weather conditions and work quantities. Provide feedback to the TSG office for Host Nation-hired subcontractors’ work in-progress during design or construction execution at project locations. Perform comprehensive technical reviews for project submittals and requests for information to ensure U.S. interests. Provide real-time feedback/engagement with Site Manager on design and/or construction activities to address areas of potential non-compliance. Provide recommended corrective actions to the Site Manager and/or US government. Conduct thorough, independent reviews of construction submittals and peer reviews of associated RFIs/CRs to ensure they meet U.S. requirement. Ensure reviews include design packs, drawings, technical sub-sheets, value engineering proposals. Identify dependencies, conflicts, inconsistencies, stakeholder concerns/comments for projects, recommended courses of action and related documentation into a Program Management Information System (PMIS). Perform ad hoc Site Visits across all active construction projects as directed by the Site Manager. Follow-up on inconsistencies and disconnects captured in RFIs/CRs and Host Nation QA/QC documentation. Comply with the Army Corps of Engineers Manual 385-1-1 and builder’s onsite safety requirements.
- Attend Host Nation construction management and review meetings with AFCENT TSG as directed by the Site Manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Must have at least 10 years of construction field experience in all phases of Civil and Building Construction. An Associate’s Degree Construction Management or related field with an additional 8 years’ experience is acceptable. Must be experienced in all aspects of building construction. At least one (1) construction integrator must have experience with mechanical projects (HVAC, plumbing) Must be proficient in the International Building Code, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Fire Codes and the NEC in addition to general construction practices Must be capable of reading, interpreting, and deciphering all construction documents (schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and related documents)Must be capable of analyzing procedures to identify deficiencies, review time/cost estimates, monitor project phasing and ensure adherence to approved safety standards.
- Must have the ability to ensure that all construction is performed IAW the applicable statement of work and Government-approved construction documents.
- Must have the ability to Review shop drawings and product submittals in a timely and accurate manner; and perform and document daily inspections of construction sites and ensure the Government’s best interest is served.
- Must track individual projects against construction and service contracts, coordinate installation access with other subcontractors, and perform daily project visits.
- Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must have AutoCAD experience.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:
TRAVEL: 100%, in deployed location.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
