As the Sr HR Generalist, your role will be responsible for providing program HR support including a variety of HR administrative duties under the direction of IAP GSS HR Business Partner. This position is a great opportunity for a HR professional who is looking to build upon experience and expand his/her/their knowledge base in a fast paced and growing federal contracting environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Manage the onboarding process for new hires including but not limited to; background and drug screenings, in-process through electronic onboarding system.
· Responsible for implementation of international assignment agreements, hiring of local and other country nationals outside the United States.
· The position will provide the highest level of customer service in addition to building and managing relationships with customers, managers, employees and candidates on a continual basis.
· Prepare and ensure timely submittal and processing of employee data, changes or new requirements via the HRIS System.
· Assist with processing termination requests.
· Ensure compliance with all State and federal regulations.
· Assist with employee communications and company activities.
· Assist in tracking LOA, FMLA, workers compensation, STD/LTD process.
· Ability to gain the trust and respect of management, other departments, and employees while pursuing positive organizational goals and objectives.
· Advise employees and management on the application and administration of company policies.
· Administers and acts as a support liaison to employees and project management team; escalating issues to appropriate department(s) or HR team members.
· Assist in ad-hoc HR projects.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) preferred
· 3-5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist role
· Experience with HR software (HRIS or HRMS)
· Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
· Experience working with U.S. Federal Government Contracting preferred
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
· PHR or SPHR preferred
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
· Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills while interfacing with various levels of Intrepid personnel, government agencies and the general public.
· Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
· Proven attention to detail.
· Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills.
· Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Ability to be flexible, motivated, resourceful and organized to work in a multi-functional role.
· Must be able to maintain professionalism and exercise discretion with sensitive data.
· Effective time management skills
· Must be a self-starter who is capable of defining and analyzing issues and developing solutions related to employees, processes, systems and organizations.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and possesses solid internet research and analytical skills.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain SECRET level clearance.
