The Logistician supports the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD) requirement for Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) services. The Logistician is responsible for wide range of logistics functions to support the Biological Point Detection Systems (BIDS/JBPDS) and Joint Portal Shield (JPS) Systems at CONUS and OCONUS locations. Primary support role is providing Contract Logistics Support (CLS) to the Joint Program Manager Nuclear Biological Chemical Contamination Avoidance (JPMNBC CA). 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·         Conducts receiving, warehousing, shipment preparation, routing and distribution operations.

·         Coordinates with appropriate personnel for all shipments to ensure compliance with exporting

·         Process AK-302s for equipment arrival to Kuwait. 

·         Ensures weight limits or observed for Kuwait shipments

·         Responsible for ensuring Inventory conducted and maintained in Maximo on a daily basis. 

·         Enforces program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. 

·         Advises management on needed actions. 

·         Determine best value and most expedient logistics routes and vendors to ensure consistent customer support. Uses FEDEX, UPS, USPS for shipments

·         Interact with local logistics providers and reach back to Intrepid corporate for support on significant issues. 

·         Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.

·         Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciliations and inventory adjustments records using Maximo property management capabilities. 

·         Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. 

·         Assists USG with audits and inventory discrepancies

·         Provides monthly inputs for Intrepid’s LEAD Indicator program

·         Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

·         High School Degree or GED. Minimum 3 years’ experience.

·         Experience operating and maintaining commercial or military power generation equipment, 5-10 KW preferred.

 

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

·         Must have Driver’s License.

·         Forklift certification or able to obtain forklift certifications.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

·         Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

·         Physical Demands/Working Environment:

·         Must be able to lift heavy objects.

 

Travel: Up to 10%

 

Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
