Position contingent upon funding

As the Senior Network Engineer, you will ensure network segmentation, security, and performance meets specific demands of different traffic profiles under a shared transport medium.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·         Support IPSec tunneling and bulk encryption methodologies such as TACLANE™ HAIPE / Black Core, and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) or complex routing protocols such as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) necessary to connect 8A strategic and tactical sites and devices.

·         Work closely with our Systems and Cyber support members to ensure critical services to the tactical edge while conserving the necessary bandwidth to support C2/C4ISR activities

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Or 2 continuous years performing Network Engineering tasks.

·         3 years performing Network Engineering tasks

CERTIFICATIONS:

·         DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certifications

·         Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

·         Routers

·         Switches

·         Firewalls / Sensors

·         Delivery Controllers

·         Virtual Private Networks

·         Net Protocols

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active Secret Clearance, NALC\T3 with SSBI\T5
