Assistant Professor or Instructor (Engineering), Chemistry Physics, and Engineering (F1273B)

 

The Department of Chemistry, Physics and Engineering at Cameron University invites applications for an assistant professor or instructor position beginning in the Fall of 2026. The Department has 7 full time faculty members and offers programs leading to BS degrees in Chemistry (including ACS Certified), an AAS in Engineering in five different concentrations, and a new BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching upper and lower division engineering coursework for the new engineering program as well as general education courses (including the online format). The Engineering program has several 3D printers and a maker space for project builds.  Responsibilities for the position also include accomplishing scholarly activity such as undergraduate research and service work.

 SUPERVISION:

The position will report to the chairperson of the Department of Chemistry, Physics and Engineering.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MS in Engineering or related field from a regionally accredited university.

 PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D. in Engineering from a regionally accredited university and prior undergraduate teaching experience.
