Student Accounts Specialist, Business Office

RESPONSIBILITIES: Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Receive and record student account payments in the Banner system;
- Assist current, inactive, and future students with account, payment, and refund information;
- Process scholarship and third-party billing payments;
- Issue ID cards and parking permits;
- Accept and enter departmental deposits in in the Banner system;
- Balance cash drawer and prepare report for daily receipts;
- Provide excellent customer service to the University community;
- Prepare forms, letters, and itemized account statements as appropriate for students, faculty, and staff;
- Respond to questions and inquiries in a timely manner, to include answering phone calls and emails;
- Provide general University information to faculty, staff, students, and visitors; and
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of a standard high school or equivalent. At least one year of related experience; related post secondary courses and/or successfully completed studies from an approved business school may be substituted for experience. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, students, and the University community.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an approved technical school or related college-level courses. Two years experience as a bank teller, cashier, or related field.
SALARY: $27,250
