POSITION:
Full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Art, Graphic Design.  The Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts at Cameron University is seeking an energetic, versatile faculty member to teach courses in the BFA Graphic Design Concentration. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Faculty will be responsible to teach the Graphic Design curriculum and other courses as needed.  This position also requires a commitment to Departmental and University service, as well as the following duties:

·        Art program and general education assessment

·        Internal and external grant writing for Lectures and Concerts, Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee, Leslie Powell Foundation and Oklahoma Arts Council proposals

·        Providing assistance in making arrangements for meetings and lectures given by visiting artists

·        Designing visiting artist and exhibition invitations, advertising and printing requests

·        Preparation of Art Exhibition opening receptions

·        Contributing to the Art Area Foyer and Hallway Gallery by showcasing your students’ artwork

·        Participating in the organization of exhibitions in the Science Complex and MCC Inasmuch galleries

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  
MFA degree with university teaching or professional experience in graphic design. Candidate should demonstrate thorough computer skills and extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
MFA degree in Graphic Design with two years of graphic design university teaching or professional experience.

 

SALARY RANGE:
Commensurate with education and experience.
