Part Time Instructor of Art, Studio Arts

POSITION: Part Time Instructor in Studio Arts. The Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts at Cameron University is seeking an energetic, versatile faculty member to teach courses in the BA and BFA Foundations Studio Art Curriculum.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Faculty will be responsible for teaching Foundations courses including but not limited to Art Appreciation, Drawing, and Color Theory. This position also requires a commitment to Departmental and University service, as well as the following duties, which may include:
● Art program and general education assessment
● Maintenance of studio equipment
● Installation of exhibitions held in the Cameron University Art Teaching Gallery
● Preparation of Art Exhibition opening receptions
● Contribute to the Art Area Foyer and Hallway Gallery by showcasing your student’s artworks
● Participate in the organization of exhibitions in the Science Complex and MCC Inasmuch galleries
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any Masters degree with at least 12 graduate credit hours in the field of Art or hold a Master's degree in any field with relevant professional experience in the field of Art.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: MFA degree in Studio Art or related discipline with two plus years of teaching or professional experience. Candidate should demonstrate thorough computer skills and experience in interdisciplinary studio art practices as well as a comprehensive understanding of current issues in art history, theory and criticism.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with Education and Experience. $20,000
