Temporary Instructor, English and Foreign Languages Spring 2025

POSITION/ RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Department of Communication, English and Foreign Languages at Cameron University invites applications for a temporary full-time Instructor to teach freshman composition for the spring semester of 2025, from January 2025 through the end of the semester in May.  Specific teaching responsibilities include teaching traditional, hybrid, synchronous video, and online coursework in Composition. The Course load is 15 hours per semester.  The successful candidate will have experience teaching basic skills and composition.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have at least one of the following:

  1. A master's degree in the discipline to be taught
  2. A bachelor's degree AND 18 graduate  hours in the field/discipline being taught for a general education course
  3. A master's degree and 12 graduate hours in the field/discipline being taught
  4. A master's degree and have relevant work experience and/or certification and credentials in the field to be taught

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Teaching experience in Higher Education. 

 

SALARY RANGE: 

Commensurate with education and experience.
